SARA ASSOCIATION CELEBRATING 20th ANNIVERSARY
This year, ASN celebrated it’s 20th anniversary. The celebration coincided with the time of the international conference of all Association Sara world-wide.
Due to COVID-19, the international conference was postponed and each country was to have a conference nationally. Association Sara was founded May 2001 in Niamey, Niger. The organization organized a 3-days conference from September 1sth- September 3rd.
There were over 250 participants and guests included Sara groups from all regions of Niger, partners, local missions, and churches representative.
The organizers reported seen the power and hand of God during this gathering as they were anticipating very low participation due to the unfavorable weather conditions, lack of funding for some groups to attend the event. “God has been faithful’ stated the event coordinator, Mrs. Barage Hadizatou. ‘People came and came! And God provided for the needs of this events.” She added.
The second day of the conference, participants shared the good news of the gospel and over 300 people in the city of Niamey heard about the love of God. Participants were edified and encouraged by orators, and the activities during this three day conference.

The second audio talks bout the information received during the conference as well as the impact of the work of Sara Association in Niger. Mrs. Rahila shared about the value of the contribution of women in the society, the impact women can have to transform their communities. The highlighted the socio-economic and spiritual impact of ASN on women through out Niger. She also plead that others would join this organization in improving the socio-economic situation of women in Niger through support and financial sponsorship.
